Registry replacement project
InternetNZ is considering options for a new replacement registry system and has conducted a request for expressions of interest (REOI) to enable InternetNZ to understand and evaluate what a suitable replacement for our existing SRS registry system could look like.
Tender outcome
The .nz registry replacement tender has finished in November 2020, and InternetNZ is in ongoing negotiations with the preferred vendor.
REOI outcome
InternetNZ has received a large number of EOI responses of very high quality and calibre.
After a thorough evaluation of all responses, InternetNZ has decided to invite three organisations to progress to closed tender for the new .nz registry system.
Request for tender (issued)
A request for tender (RFT) was issued in July 2020, along with associated technical documents. The documentation is consistent with the EOI but provides a clearer and more detailed specification of the services we wish to procure.

Dates: closing date for submissions is Friday 29 November 2019, 12 pm (New Zealand daylight saving time, UTC+13). InternetNZ may extend the closing date at its own discretion, in which case the timeframes below will be updated accordingly.
Submit to: EOIs must be lodged electronically by emailing to [email protected]. Respondents must include ‘EOI submission from [insert]’ in the subject line of their email submission.

Late submissions: EOIs submitted after the above date may only be accepted at InternetNZ discretion. Respondents that are unable to meet the closing date should discuss their concerns with Project Lead Dave Baker via email: [email protected] by 15 November 2019.
